    Question

Someone please help me with this. Is there an effect in Adobe Premiere 6.0 that makes video look like film? I'm using a digital camera to make a short, but i really need for the finished project to have a nice film look. So please, if anyone can help me, please do. Thanks

    -Ivan

    Thumbs up

    Grain Filters are a falsehood.

    They actually reduce the quality
of your footage, and thus make
    it less like filmstock.

There are many reasons apart from just
resolution, that make images shot on
film look richer than those shot on
video, but the main one to be aware
    of is contrast and brightness.

If you want to make your video look like
    film, simply give the contrast\brightness
filter in Prem a slight tweak, and heypresto
film like imagery shot on video.

Stear clear of grain, it's toss.

The best thing to do is shoot on film.
The audience will never fall for your film look/film fx bullshit.

Stop faking it, just shoot on film.
